So You Think You Can Golf: A Golfing Community Highlight

With more golf courses than any other island, and panoramic views, it's no surprise that locals and tourists alike are scrambling to the putting grounds. There are over 40 public and private courses to enjoy with both casual and more luxurious, resort-eque facilities to enjoy. The courses span all across the island and the communities surrounding them offer both single-family and condo properties to kick your feet up in after a long day in the sun. If you’re an avid golfer, here’s a highlight of some of our favorite golfing communities!

Waialae-Kahala is a more upscale neighborhood with a ‘sanctity in the city’ atmosphere. Residents here enjoy opulent, custom built homes with calming views of the ocean and greenway all while being right on the outskirts of the metro area for an easy commute.

If you’re more of a condo-type, the Kahala Apartments located at the end of Kahala Ave offer the same views. There is so much to offer in this area beyond golfing and championships - fine dining, stunning white beaches, and, according to its residents, dog lovers galore!

The community offers about 40 single-family homes which typically run about $1.5-5M on commodious lots.

Queen's Gate

Moving on over to Hawaii Kai, the exclusive Queen’s Gate gated community offers a championship 18-hole and executive 3-par course. Residents here are securely tucked away between Koko Head, Ko’olau Range, and the Pacific Ocean. Truly a world of its own, the serene community goes beyond golf offering courts for racquetball, tennis, and pickleball players as well as a recreational clubhouse.

Queen’s Gate is a very popular community with over 100 homes decked out in high ceilings, stucco detailing, and skylights running around $1.5M and up. Homes are spacious, offering one or two-story layouts, protected golf course viewing channels, and surreal views.

Hoakalei Residences

On the Leeward side, Ewa’s Hoakalei Residences provide its residents with resort-style living. Made up of three parts, each home has been constructed with traditional American architectural designs. Two out of the three parts, Kipuka and Kuapapa, offer vast views of the golf course. Kuapapa residents are tucked away behind a gate with gorgeous water features for them to enjoy.

Homes here run around $1M and up with stunning, bold designs. This region sells fast and for good reason - living resort-style is a real dream come true.

Now we could keep going but that could take all day! Our community pages give a glimpse into the lifestyles of every area on the island. If you’re looking for a more hands-on approach, contact us today - we’d be honored to help!
